Mr Simon Eccles

Simon Eccles is a Consultant Plastic Surgeon at Charing Cross Hospital, and a Consultant in Craniofacial Surgery at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. He graduated as a Doctor from Charing Cross and the Westminster Medical School in 1992 and as a dentist from the Royal London Hospital in 1985.
Following a four year training program in General Surgery, he became a member of the Royal College of Surgeons of England (FRCS) in 1996.
At this time he began his training in Plastic Surgery which lasted for a period of 8 years. During this time he was awarded the McGregor Medal at the Royal College of Surgeons in the Specialist Fellowship FRCS (FRCS Plast).
He is on the General Medical Council (GMC) Specialist Register in Plastic Surgery.

During his training as well as his general training in plastic surgery he undertook fellowships in Head and Neck Surgery at The Royal Marsden Hospital, in paediatric and adult craniofacial surgery at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. He also undertook a specialist fellowship in Aesthetic surgery at the Wellington Hospital in London.
He is also a member of the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS), and also a member of the British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (BAPRAS). He has presented widely in the plastic surgery field, and was awarded the British Association of Plastic Surgeons (BAPS) prize at the summer meeting in 1998.
Mr Eccles special interests at the Charing Cross hospital include head and neck surgery, breast reconstruction and microsurgery. He is also involved in the multidisciplinary care of patients with skin cancer. At the Chelsea and Westminster hospital his work involves paediatric and adult craniofacial surgery. He is also a member of the team of surgeons who work for the charity ‘Facing the World’. In his private practice Mr Eccles undertakes all aspects of facial and craniofacial aesthetic and reconstructive surgery. His other interests are breast and body contouring aesthetic surgery.

Mr Nick Percival (BAPS (BAAPS)

Mr Nick Percival is one of the country's senior Plastic Surgeons having been a Consultant at Charing Cross Hospital for some ten years and has been on the Council of the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons.
He is well known for his long experience, which is second to none, in the use of lasers in both facial disfigurement and cosmetic surgery. He has lectured widely both in the United Kingdom and abroad. Mr Percival has built up an extensive experience in cosmetic surgery in facial surgery, including the MACS lift, breast augmentation and reduction and abdominal reduction and liposuction.
Within the profession he is well known for his caring, conservative attitude and is regularly used by the medical insurance companies as a sound, authoritative opinion in medico-legal matters. He will give you a sound, authoritative opinion based on many years experience as an English trained and practising Consultant Plastic Surgeon.
Nick Percival is a trained and accredited Consultant Plastic Surgeon, working both within the NHS at Charing Cross Hospital. Born in Yorkshire and educated in the UK and USA, he graduated from University College Hospital, Medical School London in 1977. Returning to the USA he worked as a Lecturer at Stanford University in California before undertaking general surgical training at The Royal Postgraduate Medical School and University College Hospital in London, becoming a Fellow of The Royal College of Surgeons of England in 1984.
He then decided to pursue a career in plastic surgery and completed advanced specialist training in London, Wales and Edinburgh, gaining his certificate of higher surgical training in Plastic Surgery in 1992. He is registered with the General Medical Council as a Trained Surgeon in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
Mr Percival was appointed Consultant Plastic Surgeon at The Charing Cross Hospital in 1992 and for six years, acted as the Lead Clinician. He has been involved in the teaching of trainee plastic surgeons in Reconstructive Plastic Surgery within the health service and Cosmetic Surgery in the private sector.
Since 1992 he has developed a cosmetic surgery practice in Harley Street and in 1998 joined with his colleague, Dai Davies, to form a partnership dedicated to achieve the highest standards of care in Cosmetic Surgery in the UK. Through its teaching and training arm, The Institute of Cosmetic and Reconstructive Surgery, the partners train NHS Plastic surgery trainees in all aspects of Cosmetic Surgery. This was the first Cosmetic Surgery training programme in the UK, recognised by the Royal College of Surgeons, to train surgeons to undertake cosmetic surgery procedures.
Mr Percival is a member of the British Association of Plastic Surgeons (BAPS) and is a serving member of the council of the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (BAAPS).He undertakes a wide range of cosmetic surgery procedures including breast augmentation, body contouring, rhinoplasty and facial rejuvenation surgery. He is one of a growing breed of new surgeons who believe in a more holistic approach to facial rejuvenation, using combinations of surgical and minimally invasive techniques which produce more comprehensive and more sophisticated results.
He has a particular interest in modern face-lifting techniques, including endoscopic brow lift, tranconjunctival and laser blepharoplasty and was one of the first surgeons in the United Kingdom to undertake the new Minimally Invasive (MACS) face-lifting technique.
He travels regularly to the USA and Europe to keep at the cutting edge of the speciality and has developed a couture approach to facial rejuvenation, employing differing SMAS procedures, short scar operations and volumetric techniques, to produce a result tailored to the individual.
Mr Percival has pioneered the practice of Day Case Breast Augmentation using new surgical techniques to reduce post operative discomfort and ensuring a faster recovery.
He has incorporated the use of pre-operative computerised patient assessment into his rhinoplasty practice and has spoken on nasal aesthetics at an international rhinoplasty meeting. His work on minimal access face-lifting has been presented both in Europe and the USA at internationally recognised meetings this year. He is a member of the Medical Defence Union and frequently acts as an expert witness in medico-legal cases involving cosmetic surgery.
